Philadelphia Phillies star slugger Bryce Harper was ejected in Colorado on Friday night during the first inning after striking out in a game against the Colorado Rockies.
Following the strikeout, Harper dropped his bat and threw his helmet in frustration. He attempted to speak with home plate umpire Brian Walsh but was ejected shortly thereafter.

After the game, Harper explained that he simply wanted to discuss the call with Walsh.
“No, I mean, I wasn’t really that upset,” Harper said. “I mean, obviously I spiked my helmet, but that was out of frustration from the call. Then I just kind of asked him, ‘Hey, I don’t believe that was a strike, but where do you have it?’ Just so I know, and he was kinda just like ‘eh.’ And then I was just like, ‘No, where do you have it? I just wanna know where you had it.’ Then he threw me out and then I just told him, ‘I just wanted to have a conversation with you.'”
Harper expressed disbelief over the ejection, describing it as very soft.
Ultimately, the Phillies lost 3-2 to the Rockies, bringing their overall record to 37-15.
Umpire Brian Walsh received plenty of heat from fans on social media for the unjust ejection.
