The Indiana Fever’s start to the WNBA season has been challenging, with the team yet to secure a win after five games.
Caitlin Clark, the team’s standout and recent top draft pick, displayed signs of fatigue in a recent interview ahead of their highly anticipated game against the Los Angeles Sparks.
The ongoing losses seem to be exerting a considerable amount of pressure on her.
In the interview, Clark talked about the upcoming game, where she will face off against Cameron Brink, the No. 2 overall pick. This matchup against the Sparks is just one of several tough games on the horizon for the Fever. Following the game in Los Angeles, they will travel to Las Vegas to compete against the two-time defending champion Aces, then revisit the Sparks next Tuesday, and face the Seattle Storm the following Thursday.

The Fever’s rough start is not new, as the team holds the record for the longest losing streak in WNBA history, with 20 consecutive losses spanning the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
This series of challenges contributed to them winning the draft lottery and selecting Clark, who carries the expectation to not only help turn around the team’s fortunes but also elevate the league.
Despite these pressures, Clark’s immediate focus remains on leading her team to their first victory of the season.
