The relationship between Golden State Warriors standout Draymond Green and Minnesota Timberwolves fans is notably strained.
The tension originated from an incident earlier this season when Green escalated an on-court conflict during a game, resulting in him putting Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a headlock. This action did not endear Green to Timberwolves supporters, who have held a grudge since.
The animosity was evident when Green appeared on TNT’s Inside the NBA before Game 1 of the series between the Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks. Timberwolves fans greeted him with a hostile chant: “Draymond sucks! Draymond sucks!” echoed through the arena as the pre-game show aired live.

Familiar with such adverse reactions, Green responded to the jeers with a broad smile, unfazed by the hostility.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks clinched a narrow victory over the Timberwolves in Game 1, winning 108-105 to secure an early lead in the series.
Draymond Green, primarily a power forward, boasts an impressive basketball resume. He is a four-time NBA champion and has been selected as an NBA All-Star four times. Additionally, he has earned a spot on the All-NBA Team twice and is a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
Renowned for his defensive prowess, Green has been named to the All-Defensive Team eight times, was the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2017, and has led the league in steals. Moreover, he has been a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year Award three times throughout his career.
