NBA player salaries have surged dramatically in recent years, and they are poised to reach even more astonishing heights in the future.
The All-NBA teams for the 2023-2024 season were announced on Wednesday, and certain players stand to gain significantly from this recognition.
ESPN NBA front office expert Bobby Marks highlighted that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who was named to the All-NBA team in both 2023 and 2024, could sign a supermax extension. This extension could see him earning $294 million over four years. The most staggering part of this contract is that in the 2030-2031 season, Gilgeous-Alexander could make $81.4 million, setting a new record as the first NBA player to earn $80 million in a single season.
