Cameron Brink, who was selected second overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA draft on April 15, captivated millions of new fans with her striking outfit at the draft.
Since then, Brink has not only starred in a new SKIMS campaign with icons like Candace Parker and Kelsey Plum but also threw the first pitch at a Dodgers game.
Los Angeles seems to be the perfect fit for Brink, who has ambitions beyond the basketball court.
In a recent appearance on Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George’s podcast, she discussed her interest in posing for magazines like ESPN’s Body Issue or Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit edition. “As a female athlete, the Body Issue was always dope… our bodies are our machines. It’s how we make our money, so I think that’s a really cool concept. Or like Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I’ve always loved that. It’s super empowering,” Brink explained, noting her recent SKIMS campaign felt like a dream come true.

However, Brink won’t be able to appear in the ESPN Body Issue as it was discontinued in 2019, but her striking presence makes her a likely candidate for future features in Sports Illustrated.
On the court, Brink recently celebrated her first professional win with the Sparks, who had lost their first two games of the 2024 season. During a crucial game at the Walter Pyramid, with the Sparks leading the Washington Mystics 70-68 in the final seconds, Brink’s defensive prowess shone. She blocked Mystics center Shakira Austin’s shot near the rim, and then again thwarted Austin on a second attempt to tie the game, securing the Sparks’ first victory of the season.
While Brink’s offensive contribution that night was modest, scoring four points, her overall performance was formidable. She filled the stat sheet with eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, and four blocks in 30 minutes of play, demonstrating that she’s much more than a new face in the league.
