Over the weekend, a female Blue Jays fan experienced a painful incident when she was struck in the head by a foul ball hit by Bo Bichette.
Despite the injury, the fan, known as Liz McGuire on social media, stayed until the game’s conclusion. Unfortunately, she didn’t manage to keep the ball that hit her.
Liz shared her ordeal on her X account following the game against the Tampa Bay Rays, posting a photo of the substantial bruise on her forehead.
While she left the stadium without a baseball, she certainly had a visible reminder of the event.

She is now hopeful that the Blue Jays will recognize her unfortunate experience with a special souvenir. Commenters on her post suggested various ideas, ranging from a signed baseball to a unique Topps trading card featuring her injury. One even joked about getting a “Bo Bichette forehead autograph” or a photo of her injury signed by Bichette with the note “110mph!!!”
The specifics of where Liz was seated weren’t disclosed, but it was apparent she wasn’t behind the protective netting, suggesting she might have been in the outfield, a location where a 110 MPH foul ball can catch anyone off guard.
Despite the severity of the bruise, Liz reassured her followers that she received medical attention and is undergoing further tests to ensure everything is alright. Now, it remains to be seen if the Blue Jays will respond to her hopes for a memorable souvenir to mark her unexpected encounter.
