Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever continued their tough start to the season, falling to 0-3 after a loss to the New York Liberty at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon.
Despite leading her team in scoring, Clark struggled with turnovers, a statistic for which many fans are holding her teammates accountable rather than Clark herself. Some of her turnovers resulted from passes that her teammates failed to secure.
Fans expressed their frustration online. “Here is another perfect Caitlin Clark pass that her teammate can’t handle, and the WNBA stat recorder said it was a turnover on CC. What is going on with these stat recordings?” one fan commented.

Clark, who holds the record for all-time leading scorer in NCAA history, was known for her exceptional passing skills in college. It was expected that her ability to distribute the ball would shine even more in the WNBA with supposedly superior teammates.
However, it appears her teammates are still adjusting to her level of play.
The Fever will look to claim their first win of the season when they face the Connecticut Sun on Monday night. The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. ET.
