The New York Giants recently honored their past by reintroducing 1980s-themed uniforms for part-time use. The celebrations continue in 2024 with a new throwback uniform for their 100th anniversary season, titled “Century Red.”
The splash of red is a nod to the Giants’ alternate jerseys from the Eli Manning era, now revived with a historic twist.
New York unveiled the jerseys with a promotional video showcasing several historic moments.
The new jersey features a red base with a thick blue stripe across the midsection and white numbers, paying tribute to the 1933 Giants, who played in the first NFL Championship game against the Chicago Bears.

Additionally, the uniform includes unique tan pants, reminiscent of the 1925 Giants. These tan pants contrast with the modern white pants commonly worn across the league.
New league rules now permit teams to wear additional helmets, and the Giants are taking full advantage. Inspired by the team’s 1938 championship season, the helmet will feature both red and blue, styled similarly to the Michigan Wolverines.
This uniform drop coincides with the 100th anniversary jersey patch revealed before the schedule release. The Giants will wear this patch on every jersey this season, including the throwbacks.
According to league rules, New York will wear these throwback uniforms twice during the regular season.
