Travis Kelce is standing up for his fellow tight end, Greg Olsen, in response to Fox’s decision to replace Olsen with Tom Brady as their top NFL analyst.
In the latest episode of “New Heights,” the Kansas City Chiefs star and his brother, Jason Kelce, talked about Brady’s upcoming broadcasting debut in the Week 1 game between the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys. During the discussion, the younger Kelce expressed his disappointment over Olsen’s demotion, highlighting Olsen’s two-season tenure as Fox’s lead analyst.

“I love my guy Greg Olsen. They kind of did him dirty over there at Fox,” Kelce said. “But I mean, it’s Tom Brady, what can you do, right? Sometimes you just gotta do your thing. And Greg does a f**king tremendous job. He called our Super Bowl game and he was f**king fantastic doing that.”
“I try not to be biased against the commentators and the color guys, but I think Greg is phenomenal at it,” Jason added. “You can tell he makes it a point to really know what he’s talking about.”
Fox’s decision to replace Greg Olsen as its top analyst has sparked controversy, given Olsen’s reputation as one of the best—if not the best—color commentators in football today. However, with Tom Brady joining the network, it makes sense to position the seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback as the lead analyst. This decision has led to the demotion of Olsen, who had been one of Fox’s rising stars.
Despite having the option to leave Fox if demoted, Olsen has chosen to stay with the network. He will now serve as the No. 2 analyst, teaming up with Joe Davis to call games during the 2024 NFL season.
