Caitlin Clark’s highly anticipated WNBA debut finally happened Tuesday night, but it didn’t go as she had hoped.
Clark faced some challenges in the Indiana Fever’s 92-71 loss to the Connecticut Sun.
The No. 1 pick in last month’s WNBA draft scored 20 points on 5-of-15 shooting and committed 10 turnovers, setting a record for the most turnovers by a player in their WNBA debut. Clark got off to a slow start due to early foul trouble and had to shake off a big hit she took while driving to the basket.

The Sun’s social media team had some fun with that moment, welcoming her to the league.
Clark’s home opener is set for Thursday night when the Fever host the Liberty.
Clearly Caitlin Clark will have a bullseye on her all season long.
