Is the end near for LeBron James?
LeBron James can become a free agent this summer if he chooses to opt out of his current deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.
At 39, James is clearly nearing the end of his illustrious career, but it’s uncertain exactly how much longer he intends to play.
On Wednesday’s episode of Undisputed, Rachel Nichols and Skip Bayless discussed the possibility of LeBron teaming up with his son Bronny in the NBA. Nichols shared her belief that James has only a couple more seasons left.
“I think it’s a year or two, and I think this will be part of it, to decide how long,” Nichols said regarding playing with Bronny. “I think the Lakers are looking at a two-year window for LeBron. They’re going to sign him to as many years as they can. But I would think that we’re talking about a year or two more.”

LeBron played in 71 games this season, averaging 25.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game. He remains one of the top players in the league but has recently hinted that retirement is on the horizon.
“It’s coming,” LeBron said when asked about retirement, via Bleacher Report. “I don’t see myself falling off anytime soon. But then, like, what am I doing? What more (is left)? At some point, you got to hang it up.
“I’ve missed a lot of family time and they allowed me to do that and never put no pressure on me.”
One thing’s for sure: LeBron won’t be playing forever.
