Christie Sides has been the head coach of the Indiana Fever since the beginning of the 2023 season.
However, if it’s up to controversial sports host Jason Whitlock, she won’t be much longer.
Thankfully for Sides, Whitlock has no say in the matter.
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever lost 92-71 to the Connecticut Sun in Clark’s debut.
Clark scored 20 points but had 10 turnovers and picked up four fouls in what was a disappointing performance.
Whitlock took to X to give a suggestion on a new head coach for the Fever.
Indiana Fever need to be on the phone with Mark Jackson tonight. The man who created Steph Curry needs to be coaching Caitlin Clark.
What is very likely is that the Fever probably won’t be making a coaching change one game into the season.

Clark addressed the poor performance following the game.
“I thought it was physical,” Clark said. “I don’t know, obviously it wasn’t the best start in the first half for myself – getting into foul trouble and then you have to sit on the bench before coming back into the game to get into a little bit of a flow.”
“Obviously too many turnovers, that’s not going to get the job done. I think a lot of things we’ll just learn from. I don’t think we played well, but we cut it to six in the third quarter so I think that’s a positive. We really did not play a good game, but we were right there in moments and then it kind of got away from us at the end of the third and fourth quarter. Didn’t have the greatest start so I think just a lot to learn from.”
Clark and the Fever next face off against the New York Liberty on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. ET.
