Tom Brady was a prominent part of Fox’s 2024 upfront presentation on Monday.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion was introduced as the network’s lead in-game NFL analyst. While Brady’s appearance was mostly standard fare, he did manage to take a playful jab at Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
Michael Strahan introduced Brady as part of the team and announced that for the first time in five years, Fox would open the season with a Cowboys game. In Week 1, Brady would call Dallas’ matchup with the Cleveland Browns. Following the announcement, Brady started to ad lib about the Cowboys, noting that the team had some great storylines to follow. He remarked, “Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through.” The assembled crowd laughed, and Brady added, “Did that just slip out?”

During the 2023 season, Prescott led all regular NFL starters in completion percentage (69.5%) and passing touchdowns (36). He was third in passing yards (4,516), second in QBR (72.7), and second in passer rating (105.9). It was an outstanding season, but until he achieves success in the playoffs, people like Brady will keep pointing it out
