UFC star Derrick Lewis was the center of attention for multiple reasons on Saturday.
In the UFC Fight Night’s main event at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, Lewis (28-12-0) achieved a knockout victory over Rodrigo Nascimento (11-2-0). Lewis delivered a powerful right haymaker in the first minute of the third round, quickly following up with decisive ground-and-pound tactics to secure the win.
The 39-year-old fighter, weighing in at 260 pounds, was clearly the crowd favorite.
His post-fight celebration was both unconventional and memorable. Lewis removed his shorts and tossed his protective cup towards a media member. Then, clad only in his underwear, he mooned the audience at the Enterprise Center.

Despite the typically disrespectful connotations of such a gesture, it actually energized the St. Louis crowd. Lewis, visibly in high spirits following his victory, entered the fight with a recent record of losing five out of his last seven bouts.
The 39-year-old fighter from Houston has a record of 2-4 in his last six UFC bouts starting from 2022. Last year, Lewis had mixed results; he was submitted by Serghei Spivac, managed a knockout win against Marcos Rogerio de Lima, but then suffered a loss to Almeida.
After a short period as a free agent, Lewis secured a new eight-fight contract with the UFC in August.
