On Tuesday night, the Chicago Sky, led by Angel Reese, faced off against Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, and the New York Liberty in their WNBA preseason finale.
The Sky decisively won the game with a staggering 48-point lead, ending with a score of 101-53.
Reese delivered a strong performance, contributing 13 points on 60% shooting, along with five rebounds and an assist.
The game also saw support from the Chicago Bears, with quarterback Caleb Williams, the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, wide receivers Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen in attendance.
Dana Evans, Reese’s teammate, commented on the NFL stars’ presence at the game. “Imma just say it’s about time,” Evans remarked, emphasizing the growing interest in women’s basketball. “Everybody wants to watch women’s basketball. I feel like we’ve been doing a really good job of just doing stuff on the court and off the court. Having them supporting us is great.”
The full interview with Evans was later shared on social media by GN Sports TV.
