Here’s one way to settle your differences.
After the New York Knicks knocked the Philadelphia 76ers out of the playoffs Thursday night, tension outside the Wells Fargo Center nearly escalated into a fight. However, instead of throwing punches, two fans chose a unique way to resolve their differences.
“We’re not kidding,” reported Kyle Pagan of Crossing Board. “A Knicks and a Sixers fan were about to fight outside the arena until security intervened. They walked about 10 feet away and agreed to settle their dispute with an old-fashioned Oklahoma drill. It was quite the spectacle.”
Footage of this unusual confrontation quickly surfaced on social media, delighting viewers. It appears that the fan donning a Joel Embiid jersey came out on top.
“Solid pass set from the guy in the Embiid jersey, got on his heels but managed to recover with a solid punch,” commented one spectator. “The Knicks fan bent too much at the waist and lunged, losing all leverage and getting buried, as expected.”
Another fan expressed their enjoyment of the event, tweeting, “I love this.”
Thankfully, the incident between the fans was harmless.
Moreover, for Sixers supporters needing a silver lining, at least someone in an Embiid jersey claimed a victory this week.
