“Obviously I’m gonna go down with the Steelers, I got more stats than Hines Ward and receiving yards,” Brown asserted. He continued with disparaging remarks, saying, “Yeah, he can’t [expletive] with me like, he can’t even wear my jock strap. Hines Ward is my stepson. He’s a baby wipe, I’m constipated and I’m still [expletive] on him. And I had to deal with more adversity and more criticism. I’m letting you know what a guy got to deal with when he been so great. Hines Ward can’t [expletive] with me.”

Brown’s comments have not been well-received on social media, where fans have criticized him for appearing spiteful and erratic.
From a statistical viewpoint, while Ward concluded his NFL career with more receptions and receiving touchdowns than Brown, Brown accumulated more receiving yards in fewer games—146 compared to Ward’s 217.
At the height of his career, Brown was considered a more dominant player than Ward. However, his legacy is now overshadowed by his off-field controversies, diminishing the public’s regard for his professional achievements.
