Last year, Kelce, who is 34, earned a base salary of $11.25 million and saw his impressive streak of seven consecutive 1,000-yard seasons come to a close—finishing just shy with 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns. However, Kelce shone brightly in the postseason, capturing 32 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns, contributing significantly to the Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl victories.
Trey Wingo highlighted Kelce’s monumental year in a tweet: “Travis Kelce in 2024: *wins 3rd Super Bowl .. repeats as champs *solidified relationship with biggest pop star in world *becomes the highest paid TE in history, And it’s only April. Anyone having a better year? I DOUBT IT.”
Off the field, Kelce has been spending his offseason with his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift. On the field, he continues to cement his legacy as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history.
With this new contract, Kelce is set for at least two more seasons where he’ll continue to be a formidable force against opposing defenses and further embellish his already impressive career.
