Darez Diggs, the brother of Stefon and Trevon Diggs, has been sentenced to two years of probation after being involved in a violent incident in a Los Angeles elevator last year.
TMZ Sports reported on Sunday that the former XFL player accepted a plea deal on March 27, pleading no contest to one felony count of grand theft related to the victim, Christopher Griffith. In exchange, prosecutors dropped another felony robbery charge.
In addition to probation, the court ordered Diggs to complete 20 hours of community labor.
CCTV footage from an LA apartment building captured Diggs coordinating with two other men during the attack. The video shows Diggs preventing the elevator door from closing and seemingly directing the others to assault Griffith.

The attackers knocked Griffith to the ground, kicked him in the head, and dragged him out of the elevator, during which they stole his jewelry amid a heated verbal altercation.
Following the attack, Griffith filed a lawsuit against Diggs, seeking compensation for physical pain, emotional distress, and the theft of jewelry and other belongings valued at $100,000. The civil case is still pending.
As of now, Diggs has not made any public statements regarding the incident. However, he was seen in good spirits several weeks later while assisting at Stefon’s youth football camp at the University of Maryland.
