Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton revealed after their Game 2 playoff victory in Milwaukee against the Bucks that his little brother was subjected to a racial slur from a Bucks fan during Game 1.
This from Kelly Iko of The Athletic:
“Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton says his little brother was called the N-word by a Bucks fan in Game 1.”
There’s no word if this resulted in an ejection for the fan.
Haliburton had some harsh words about the Milwaukee crowd following Game 2 which may have stemmed from the Game 1 incident involving his little brother.
The first-time All-Star claims that the Pacers had better “regular season crowds” than what he’s seen in Milwaukee the first two games.
“We’ve had regular season crowds better than what we’ve played in the last two games.”
Haliburton also changed voices mid-press conference which had social media going wild.
Haliburton didn’t have a huge game in this one with 12 points and 12 assists, but his teammate, Pascal Siakam, was unstoppable with 37 points and 11 rebounds.
With the 125-108 victory, the Pacers evened the series at 1-1 as they head to “a much better crowd” in Indianapolis for Games 3 and 4.
