The great escape.
Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill recently revealed that he and his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, had to “escape” to Tokyo, Japan.
Hill admitted that he and his wife flew to Tokyo in February of 2023 to “escape” having to watch his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, win the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
This Super Bowl win gave Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and head coach Andy Reid their second with the Chiefs.

Hill was with Mahomes, Kelce, and Reid for their first Super Bowl when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-20.
Hill revealed his “escape plan” on a recent appearance on “THE MILLION DOLLAZ WORTH OF GAME” podcast.
Hill had just spent his first season with the Dolphins after being traded to them by the Chiefs in 2022, and admitted that it was “hard” to watch them win Super Bowl LVII.
“I don’t want to look at no game. I don’t want to look at none of it. She was like, “Babe, let’s just go to Tokyo. Let’s get away from it and let’s do our thing.” So we went to Tokyo for the first year. And when they won, I reached out to all the guys. I was like, “Man, I’m happy for y’all. Proud of y’all.””
Hill admitted that this past year’s Super Bowl, also won by the Chiefs, was much easier to watch which may have had something to do with the fact that his former team eliminated the Dolphins in the playoffs.
“The second year, this year when they won, I watched the whole game. I was like, “Y’all, we got to win this thing.””
Hill was even in Las Vegas for this past year’s Super Bowl.
“I’m cool now. But the first year it was kind of hard trying to get over that hump of seeing the guys do their thing out there,” Hill added.
The 30-year-old revealed quite a bit during this interview including that he was called out by Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel following their playoff loss to the Chiefs.
“He was like ‘You’re supposed to be the best player in the league, we pay you all this money for what?”
