Following last night’s Denver Nuggets game against the Los Angeles Lakers, an incident involving Nikola Jokic’s brother, Strahinja Jokic, and a fan has attracted the attention of the NBA, which is now conducting an investigation.
Video footage that has spread across social media shows Strahinja Jokic descending a row of seats before striking a male fan with a right-handed punch.
The altercation didn’t end with the punch, as the verbal confrontations continued, with Strahinja’s brother, Nemanja, also present and backing him up, according to TMZ Sports.

The scene was further complicated by the presence of Jokic’s wife, who was nearby holding their young daughter and attempting to deescalate the situation by urging her brother-in-law to step away from the conflict.
TMZ Sports reports that the NBA has formally launched an inquiry into the incident, with their executive producer Michael J. Babcock tweeting: “The #NBA is investigating the altercation between Nikola Jokic’s brother Strahinja Jokic and a fan during game 2 of the #Lakers-#Nuggets series last night in Denver.”
This isn’t the first instance of the Jokic brothers being involved in disputes with fans, which, while showcasing their strong support for their brother, casts a shadow over both Nikola Jokic’s image and the NBA’s public relations.
The outcome of the NBA’s investigation and any potential consequences for those involved remain to be seen.
