Over the weekend, former Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh kept his promise to his former team by getting a tattoo commemorating their perfect 15-0, national championship season.
Now the head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers, Harbaugh celebrated the Wolverines’ undefeated 2023 season with a “15-0” tattoo. This gesture comes after his move from Michigan to the NFL following the championship victory.
Commenting on the experience, Harbaugh quipped, “I’m impervious to pain,” and noted the addictive nature of tattoos, saying, “I can see why once you get one [tattoo], you might want to start adding to it.”
His daughter Grace, a Michigan attendee, gave a succinct reaction to her dad’s new ink on social media, writing simply, “mannn….”

During their championship run, Harbaugh had vowed to his players that he would get a tattoo if they clinched the national title. He had planned the design ahead of time, intending to place it on his right shoulder and include a maize and blue “M.”
Now that he’s fulfilled his promise to Michigan, speculation arises that Harbaugh might get a Chargers-themed tattoo should his new team capture a Super Bowl under his leadership.
