Before the opening game between the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks, 76ers forward Kelly Oubre took a jab at Madison Square Garden’s celebrity row, criticizing the practice of giving high-priced tickets to celebrities who might not be genuine fans.
“They’re gonna give celebrities those $100,000 free tickets just to be there and not care about the game,” Oubre remarked.
ESPN’s Alan Hahn reacted to Oubre’s comments by tweeting at Ben Stiller, a regular at Knicks games and known fan of the franchise, suggesting that his “Dodgeball” character White Goodman should weigh in on the matter.
Stiller, embracing the challenge, responded in character with a humorous retort: “Oh I think I care a lot more than you think that you thought I cared…,” Stiller quipped, adding a playful dig, “Kelly Who-bre?”

The exchange quickly caught fire online, garnering a lot of attention and amusement from fans. One fan commented, “Reading this in White Goodman’s voice is killing me,” while another added, “Kelly Who-bre goes crazy. Ben really is part of the family man! You love to see it.”
As the Knicks prepare to face the 76ers, they are slight favorites and are keen to demonstrate why they should be considered serious contenders in the Eastern Conference.
Game 1 is set to tip off at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN, promising not just a great matchup on the court but continuing the lively banter off it as well.
