In the early morning hours, while many were asleep, Taylor Swift unveiled her new album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’
The extensive double album includes over 30 tracks, yet it was two songs in particular that caught the attention of Kansas City Chiefs fans due to the mention of star tight end Travis Kelce, who is currently dating Swift.
One of the standout lines from the album, “So when I touchdown, call the amateurs and cut them from the team, Ditch the clowns, get the crown, Baby I’m the one to beat,” showcases Swift’s lyrical prowess and hints at Kelce’s influence. Another song features the lyrics, “Shirts off and your friends lift you up over their heads, Beer sticking to the floor, Cheers chanting ‘cause they said there was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league, where’s the trophy?”
Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a friend of Taylor’s, expressed her excitement about the album on social media, posting, “Let’s goooooo,” in response to its release.
