Caitlin Clark is making a significant entrance into the WNBA, having secured a lucrative shoe deal with Nike that’s reportedly worth well into the eight figures.
Speaking on “Up & Adams,” NBA insider Shams Charania from Stadium and The Athletic revealed some details about Clark’s impressive contract with Nike. “I’m told it’s well beyond $10 million,” Charania noted, suggesting that the deal could even surpass $20 million, though the final figures are yet to be confirmed. “I think it’s fair to say that it’s above $20 million. Now how above? We’ll see once we get the final numbers, I’m not one to speculate.”
This multi-year agreement, lasting “at least four or five years,” positions Clark as only the third current WNBA player to have a signature shoe, alongside Sabrina Ionescu (Nike) and Breanna Stewart (Puma). Despite competitive offers from Adidas and Under Armour, Nike ultimately secured the deal.
“To get a signature shoe, before you ever step foot on the pro level, that’s a big, big deal,” emphasized Charania.

While Clark’s rookie contract, totaling $338,056 over four years, has highlighted the ongoing wage disparity in professional sports, her endorsement deals, particularly with Nike, are setting her up for substantial off-court earnings.
“Think about her business portfolio—obviously a lot has been made recently about WNBA salaries—but I will say, her business portfolio off the court, she’s making significant money,” Charania concluded.
