Rimas Sports, the agency established by Grammy-winning artist Bad Bunny, is currently facing disciplinary actions from the Major League Baseball Players Association.
According to Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic, complaints from competing agencies allege that Rimas provided improper incentives, such as cash and gifts, to lure players away from their existing representatives. Additional grievances include the involvement of uncertified individuals acting in agent capacities.
The agency, which started in April 2023, has had its main baseball agent, William Arroyo, stripped of his certification following the union’s probe.

Rimas Sports represents several notable athletes, including Francisco Alvarez of the New York Mets, Wilmer Flores of the San Francisco Giants, Santiago Espinal of the Cincinnati Reds, and Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Diego Cartaya. They also brought on Hall of Fame catcher Iván Rodríguez as an ambassador.
In response to the allegations, Rimas Sports stated, “At Rimas Sports, we uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity of our industry. Out of respect for the ongoing process within the context of the MLBPA agent regulations, we will refrain from making any further comments at this time. We remain committed to continuing to serve our clients with excellence.”
Bad Bunny co-founded Rimas Sports with his manager Noah Assad, who also established Rimas Entertainment, an independent music label. The agency aims to represent “the next generation of great Latin American athletes.”
