The LSU Tigers Women’s Basketball team is going to have their hands full in their Elite Eight matchup with Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The third-seeded LSU Tigers will take on the first-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes on April 1 with the winner advancing to the Final Four of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
LSU women’s head basketball coach Kim Mulkey has been subject of much unwanted attention prior to the showdown, but she may not completely dislike the basketball highlights that have emerged from her college days at Louisiana Tech University.
A user on X posted the following Mulkey basketball highlights:
Mulkey played for Louisiana Tech from 1980 to 1984 as a point guard before entering the coaching ranks.
Her first coaching job was with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs women’s basketball team as an assistant from 1985 to 1996.
She served as an associate head coach for them from 1996 to 2000 before accepting the head coaching job at Baylor.
At Baylor, Mulkey was women’s head basketball coach from 2000 to 2021 where she won three National Championships.
Mulkey has been the head coach of the LSU Tigers since 2021 and is currently seeking back-to-back National Championship titles with them after winning in 2023.
