The Kansas City Chiefs may have found their replacement for L’Jarius Sneed.
This from NFL Notifications on X:
“????? ?????: The #Chiefs have been in talks with free agent CB Xavien Howard. Howard could serve as a cheap and very serviceable option as the Chiefs look to find their L’Jarius Sneed replacement. The #Lions and #Raiders have also expressed interest.”
Cornerback Xavien Howard is a four-time Pro Bowler who twice led the NFL in interceptions while with the Miami Dolphins in 2018 and 2020.
Howard was also First-Team All-Pro in 2020 and Second-Team All-Pro in 2018.
A second-round pick out of Baylor in 2016, Howard has spent his entire eight-year career with the Dolphins.

The-30-year-old was released by the Dolphin on March 13 so he will be playing for a new team for the 2024 NFL season.
In 2023, Howard started 13 games for the Dolphins and had one interception, 12 passes defended, and 45 combined tackles.
As it currently stands, Howard is not quite the caliber of Sneed, but is a cheaper option for the Chiefs who were forced to trade Sneed due to salary cap restrictions.
