Saquon Barkley wasted no time in winning over Philadelphia Eagles fans.
His first mission? Persuading Jason Kelce to return to the offensive line. Barkley recently joined the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast, although the full episode hasn’t been released yet. A snippet of their conversation surfaced on the podcast’s official X account.
In the brief clip, Jason Kelce expressed his excitement about watching Barkley play in an Eagles uniform this upcoming season as a fan. Barkley playfully suggested that Kelce could still join the action if he wished.
“It’s going to be so fun to watch. It’s going to be so fun to be a part of. It’s going to be great,” Jason Kelce remarked.
“You don’t have to just watch, you know?” Barkley responded.

Considering the emotional spectacle of Jason Kelce’s retirement, including Travis Kelce’s tears during the press conference, it’s difficult to envision the Eagles star reversing his decision in the same offseason.
However, as NFL fans have witnessed with figures like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, some all-time greats struggle to stay away from the game, at least initially.
Kelce boasted an illustrious 13-season career at the highest level. The beloved Eagles player earned eight Pro Bowl selections and was named first-team All-Pro seven times.
It’s understandable why Barkley would attempt to recruit Kelce back to Philadelphia’s offensive line. Having the legendary center return would undoubtedly ease Barkley’s transition into his debut season with the Eagles.
