Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn’t the only NFL owner who has reversed course recently.
The New York Jets have been trying to trade quarterback Zach Wilson for quite some time but have been met with some pretty significant obstacles.
Now, Jets owner Woody Johnson is saying that the team will keep Wilson if they are unable to trade him.

This from Jets Videos on X:
“Woody Johnson says that Zach Wilson is a “valuable asset” and the Jets won’t just release him if they can’t find a trade partner”
Johnson is now referring to Wilson as a “valuable asset” which is a very different tune then when he said that the Jets “didn’t have a back-up quarterback last year” at the NFL Honors in February.
Regardless of Johnson’s apparent new attitude towards Wilson, the Jets are going to do whatever they can to trade the former second overall draft pick.
If they can’t, it appears they will just hope and pray that starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be on the field for all 17 games next season.
