Mark Jackson is trolling himself like a champ.
The former NBA player turned broadcaster playfully congratulated himself for correctly voting for Nikola Joki? as the NBA Finals MVP, after Joki? was unanimously awarded the title.
Joki? missed out on winning his third consecutive regular season MVP award, which was given to Joel Embiid. While voting for Embiid was understandable, Jackson came under fire for not including Joki? in his regular season MVP ballot, contributing to the narrative that the media has disregarded the Nuggets and Joki?.
However, during the NBA Finals, Joki? was without a doubt the most valuable and best player, and Jackson had no other choice but to vote for him. During the Nuggets’ championship celebration, Jackson joked that he was relieved to have made the correct MVP vote this time and be able to sleep soundly.
"I'm just so glad I got my MVP vote right this time. I can go home and sleep peacefully."

All 11 voters chose Joki? for the award, as there was no other legitimate candidate for the Finals MVP.
Although he had the opportunity, Jackson refrained from mocking the award and acknowledged that leaving Joki? off his regular season MVP ballot was an honest mistake that won’t be soon forgotten by Nuggets fans.
