Sleep is important!
Former first overall NBA draft pick DeAndre Ayton spent his first five seasons with the Phoenix Suns before being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Blazers as a team have struggled plenty this season with a 19-48 record and Ayton wasn’t in his best form earlier this season.

His performance has improved as the season has gone on and Ayton has revealed the reason that he believes this is the case is because he was sleeping on an air mattress.
“My body wasn’t just my body. People forget the humane difference of me adjusting to everything. That included something as routine as getting proper sleep. Just being comfortable in waking up. I didn’t have a bed for quite some time. I was on an air mattress. Just trying to figure this out.”
For the season, the center is averaging a double-double with 15.7 points per game and 11.1 rebounds per game.
However, Ayton’s 2023-24 season with the Blazers will probably be most known for the game he bizarrely missed because he couldn’t get out of his driveway due to heavy snow and ice.
