Tragic news from the NBA world on Thursday night.
The younger brother of Toronto Raptors star RJ Barrett, Nathan Barrett, has sadly passed away according to a statement made on behalf of the Barrett family by Canada Basketball and the Toronto Raptors.

The elder Barrett was ruled out of the Raptors game against the Orlando Magic on Friday night following the tragic news.
Per TMZ, Nathan Barrett was a guard for Monteverde Academy in Monteverde, Florida.
According to his Monteverde bio, Nathan had expressed interest in playing at either Oregon University or Duke University which is where his older brother played in 2018-19.
RJ Barrett had previously posted that his younger brother had hopes of playing in the NBA.
