Randi Mahomes vehemently refuted the sexual battery charges against her son Jackson, asserting that they were unfounded accusations.
In January, Kansas prosecutors dismissed three felony charges against Jackson, younger sibling of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The 23-year-old was accused of forcibly grabbing a woman by the neck and kissing her inside an Overland Park restaurant on February 25, 2023.
Randi appeared on the ‘Got It From My Momma’ podcast on Wednesday and candidly discussed the ordeal with Jennifer Vickery Smith. Alongside defending her son, Randi shed light on Jackson’s work ethic and his significance within their family.
“We put this past year behind us with some false allegations against him that finally came to light, amidst my mom’s passing last April. It was a lot to handle all at once,” Randi expressed.
“We were relieved when everything was dropped because it was baseless.”
When asked about maintaining Jackson’s spirits amid the accusations, Randi emphasized the power of prayer and highlighted how the experience revealed their true friends.
“We relied on prayer and leaned on my Bible study group. Through this trial, we discovered who our genuine friends are,” Randi shared. “The situation brought our family closer together.”
“As a mother, seeing the media’s biased treatment toward one child over the other not only affected me but also impacted both my children and my daughter. We’ve learned to switch off the TV,” she added.

The serious sexual battery allegations were dismissed after the accuser, who also owned the restaurant, declined to testify. She reported experiencing death threats, harassment, and vandalism against her establishment, leading to its closure in August.
However, on Thursday, Jackson pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor count of battery. The charge states that Mahomes pushed a 19-year-old waiter at the restaurant who attempted to enter the room while he was with the woman, according to investigators.
Jackson received six months of probation as part of his sentence and was taken into custody by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office to assess his eligibility for work release.
Despite Jackson’s substantial TikTok following, Randi clarified that he holds a conventional 9-to-5 position at a Credit Union. She praised Jackson’s steadfastness as the family’s pillar.
“He’s been working a 9-to-5 job for a year now. He’s my only college graduate, and he’s outperforming Patrick in some aspects,” Randi proudly shared. “Jackson is our anchor, the one who keeps us grounded. While Patrick is admired as a football player and family man, Jackson is the rock of our family.”
