Since his involvement in an incident at a Kansas restaurant in early 2023, Jackson Mahomes has largely remained out of the public eye.
Following allegations by a woman who claimed Mahomes assaulted her, grabbing her by the neck and kissing her against her will, he was charged with three felonies for aggravated sexual battery. However, the charges were dropped after the woman failed to adequately cooperate with the investigation, leading to prosecutors dismissing the case due to the lack of testimony from the accuser.
Despite the dropped charges, Mahomes still faced a misdemeanor charge related to allegedly shoving a waiter who attempted to enter the room where Mahomes and the woman were. Recently, Mahomes appeared for his sentencing via video conference, pleading guilty to the charge.
As a result, Mahomes was sentenced to six months of probation and taken into the custody of the Jackson County Sheriff’s office, which will determine his eligibility for work release.

Notably, the woman who accused Mahomes did not testify during the proceedings. She owned the restaurant where the incident occurred, but due to receiving death threats and experiencing vandalism, she closed the establishment in August.
Jackson Mahomes’ sentencing coincides with recent news of his father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., being arrested for driving while intoxicated in Texas. Despite this, Patrick Mahomes Sr. attended the Super Bowl, witnessing his son secure his third championship title.
