While the NFL world converged in Indianapolis over the weekend to assess the latest batch of top rookie prospects, Bill Belichick found himself approximately 600 miles away, immersed in a different scene – cheerleading.
As reported by TMZ Sports, the former New England Patriots head coach opted out of attending the NFL Combine on Saturday, instead choosing to attend the 2024 Coastal At The Capitol cheerleading event in National Harbor, Md.
Witnesses disclosed that the 71-year-old took a seat in the back row of the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center to witness at least one routine performed by the competing teams before departing.

Belichick respectfully declined photo requests but interacted amiably with fans during his time at the venue.
The reason for the future Hall of Famer’s presence at the event remains unclear. Attempts to reach his representative for comment have been made, but no response has been received thus far.
Traditionally, Belichick would be engrossed in scouting potential draft picks within Lucas Oil Stadium during this period of the year. However, following his departure from New England and his subsequent absence from another team, he finds himself with newfound flexibility in his March schedule, allowing him to explore other interests, evidently including the world of cheerleading.
Bill Belichick appears to be quite content in retirement.
