Food conglomerate Kellanova has made a bold request to none other than the world’s biggest pop star, urging Taylor Swift to share her recipe for “Pop-Tarts (Taylor’s Version).”
The official Pop-Tarts brand, a subsidiary of Kellanova, seized the opportunity to reach out to Swift after it was revealed that she had crafted her own version of the beloved filled and frosted pastries for members of the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive line. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid shared this tidbit last week, expressing regret that he never had the chance to sample Swift’s creation.
In a gesture of appreciation and charitable giving, Pop-Tarts took out a full-page ad in the Kansas City Star, announcing a donation to @harvesters, a local Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of Swift’s homemade treats. The ad featured a mock-up of multiple Pop-Tart boxes styled after a poster from her Eras Tour, enticing Swift with a promise to double their donation if she releases the recipe.
Swift’s connection to the Kansas City Chiefs and their star player, Travis Kelce, has garnered attention throughout the NFL season. As she attended games to support Kelce, she also won over some of his teammates by baking them homemade Pop-Tarts, according to Reid. Despite Reid’s admission that he didn’t receive one of Swift’s treats, he praised her grounded nature and likened her fame to that of the late Queen Elizabeth II, highlighting her ability to handle the spotlight with grace.
Throughout the season, Swift’s presence at Chiefs games was not seen as a distraction by Reid, who commended her genuine enjoyment of the sport and her willingness to embrace team spirit despite her immense fame. From cheering on Kelce in the stands to attending games on the road, Swift’s support for the Chiefs has made her a prominent figure in Chiefs Kingdom.
As Swift’s culinary skills become a topic of interest, fans eagerly await her response to Kellanova’s request, hoping to uncover the secret behind “Pop-Tarts (Taylor’s Version).”
