Kliff Kingsbury is poised to coach alongside Caleb Williams once again, as he takes on the role of offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders under head coach Dan Quinn, marking his return to coaching in the NFL.
Initially anticipated to join the Las Vegas Raiders in a similar capacity under head coach Antonio Pierce, Kingsbury unexpectedly withdrew his candidacy for unspecified reasons and opted for the opportunity with the East Coast team instead.
The news of Kingsbury’s appointment drew a notable reaction from former USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams, who expressed his congratulations online with a simple, “My dawg congrats.”

With Kingsbury now part of the Commanders, the 2024 NFL Draft takes on added intrigue for the team. Washington holds the No. 2 overall pick after a challenging 2023 season. While rookie quarterback Sam Howell showed promise, the Commanders may be contemplating selecting a top college quarterback in the upcoming draft.
Kingsbury’s previous collaboration with USC quarterback Caleb Williams adds an intriguing dimension, as Williams is widely projected to be the first overall pick in the draft. However, the Chicago Bears currently hold the number one pick and are expected to select Williams, with no indication of a trade.
