Following the Buffalo Bills’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, the disappointment among players was palpable, but Stefon Diggs chose not to delve into his emotions.
With a 27-24 victory, the Chiefs secured their sixth consecutive AFC Championship Game appearance at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, N.Y. Diggs, who also refrained from speaking with reporters after the Bills defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, declined to engage with the media post-game.
Despite an impressive regular season with 107 catches for 1,183 yards and 8 touchdowns, Diggs’ productivity waned in the latter part of the season. He failed to surpass 87 yards receiving in any of Buffalo’s final 11 regular-season games and faced continued struggles in the postseason, accumulating 73 receiving yards across two games without reaching the end zone.

Throughout the past few months, Diggs appeared to grapple with focus issues, a trend that persisted in the game against Kansas City. The star receiver had a crucial drop in the fourth quarter that could have influenced the game’s outcome.
There are now questions about Diggs’ future with the Bills. Despite signing a 4-year, $104 million contract extension before the 2022 season, the 30-year-old has openly expressed frustration with his performance. His discontent dates back to the offseason, with unclear reasons for his dissatisfaction.
Speculation arises about Diggs possibly lacking confidence in quarterback Josh Allen. Although tied to Buffalo through 2027, there is speculation that the two parties might consider parting ways in the coming months.
