Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is reportedly retiring from football. Sources indicated that Kelce announced his retirement to teammates after the Eagles lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a wildcard playoff game.
Although Kelce declined media interviews, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni expressed his admiration for the player. “I love him,” Nick Sirianni said, per ESPN. “He’s special and I love him. He’s one of the most special guys I’ve been around. He’s always got a place here.”
Despite certain outlets playfully referring to him as a “popular podcast host,” Kelce is regarded as one of the NFL’s best centers, and his retirement marks the end of a remarkable career.
