The New York Giants had a disappointing season, and despite plans to retain head coach Brian Daboll in 2024, reports suggest that not everyone within the organization approves of his coaching style.
According to the New York Daily News, Daboll’s behavior on the sideline during games has been deemed “destructive” by many coaches. Critics argue that his input is reactive rather than proactive, and his displays of outrage are seldom accompanied by suggested solutions.
Team sources have expressed concerns about Daboll’s emotional outbursts, with one stating, “He has no composure.”

“Daboll’s sideline behavior was destructive, in many coaches’ opinions. His input was never proactive, always reactionary. And his outrage was rarely accompanied by a suggested solution,” Pat Leonard reported.
Daboll, who took over as head coach in the 2022 season, led the Giants to a surprise playoff run last year but faced disappointment in 2023.
Some coaches have employed questionable motivational tactics during games, and in the absence of victories, such approaches may face resistance.
