After spending four seasons together in San Francisco, Colin Kaepernick and Jim Harbaugh formed a polarizing quarterback-head coach duo in the NFL.
With Harbaugh expressing interest in returning to the NFL in 2024 after coaching at Michigan for nine years, Kaepernick shared his thoughts on his former coach.
In a direct message to USA Today, Kaepernick stated, “Harbaugh is the one coach you call when you want to compete for a championship. Period.”
The duo experienced success during their time together, reaching a Super Bowl in 2012 and making it to the NFC title game in 2013.

During his six-season NFL career, Colin Kaepernick played exclusively for the San Francisco 49ers, with four of those years overlapping with Jim Harbaugh from 2011 to 2014. Kaepernick, a part of the 49ers’ football family, accumulated 12,271 passing yards, threw 72 touchdown passes, and had 30 interceptions throughout his career.
The question remains: Will Harbaugh make a return to NFL coaching in 2024?
