Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman and his wife Chelsea had an exciting encounter with pop superstar Taylor Swift at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. Seated “6 ft.” away from Swift and her date Keleigh Sperry, the Freemans shared their excitement on social media with photobombing proof.
Chelsea Freeman posted photos on her Instagram Story, expressing joy at being in close proximity to Taylor Swift. One image featured Swift posing in the foreground while Freddie Freeman looked on in the background. Chelsea jokingly wrote, “I keep getting tagged in this. Of course, Freddie makes the Taylor pic and I’m blocked,” with a laughing-crying emoji.
In another snap, Chelsea pointed out that her head appeared in the background of a picture featuring Swift and Selena Gomez. She shared her excitement, saying, “You guys …. This is the back of my head. We were sitting 6 ft from Taylor & Selena, and I was too shy to ask for a pic. They were gorgeous in person.”

The Freemans, seemingly enjoying their time in Los Angeles, have embraced the city since Freddie Freeman, an Orange County native, was traded to the Dodgers in March 2022 after 12 seasons with the Atlanta Braves. Freeman had a standout season with a .331 batting average, the third-best in the National League, and 29 home runs.
Following his signing with the Dodgers, Freeman expressed gratitude on Instagram, calling it a special day and thanking the organization for welcoming his family with open arms, using the hashtag #Home.
