Simone Biles is basking in the affection from her husband, Jonathan Owens! The 26-year-old Olympic gold medalist shared a photo on Friday showcasing three impressive bouquets of flowers she received from Owens in a romantic gesture.
In the Instagram Story snapshot, two bouquets of red and white roses, along with a basket of pink lilies and carnations, were artfully arranged on an island in what seemed to be Biles’ kitchen. Accompanying the image was the caption, “My husband >>>>,” leaving no doubt that the beautiful flowers were a thoughtful gift from Owens. A photo of the couple sitting together adorned the wall behind the floral display.
Owens, in response, reposted the photo on his Instagram Story, punctuating it with a series of love heart emojis.
This gesture unfolded as Biles and Owens spent some time apart over the New Year. Owens had a game with the Green Bay Packers against the Minnesota Vikings in Wisconsin on Sunday, preventing Biles—who attended a friend’s wedding on New Year’s Eve—from being there. She had previously cheered for Owens at several games in November and December.
Biles revealed earlier in the week that she missed the midnight countdown after falling asleep. She reposted a photo of herself during her midnight nap, shared by friend Kayla Simone, along with a humorous caption expressing apologies for not staying awake.
Simone and Owens tied the knot on April 22nd in a courthouse ceremony in Houston, later celebrating with a lavish wedding ceremony in Mexico.

Last month, Owens faced criticism for his comments on The Pivot podcast, where he revealed that Biles initiated contact on a dating app, leading to a series of text exchanges. Owens also mentioned that he was unaware of Biles’ identity when they started talking and asserted that he is the “catch” in their relationship. Biles seemingly responded to the backlash on social media, asking, “Are y’all done yet?” in a caption on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The presence of three bouquets suggests either an exceptionally positive turn of events or the possibility that Owens might have found himself in the doghouse and needed to extend apologies.
