A Seahawks enthusiast named Jose Lozano claims that Marshawn Lynch unleashed his “Beastmode” persona outside a Seattle bar over the weekend, involving an altercation that included smashing Lozano’s phone.
According to Lozano, the incident transpired in front of Xtadium in downtown Seattle around 1:30 AM on Sunday. Lozano recounts attempting to take a picture with Lynch inside the bar earlier that night but was denied by Lynch’s friends, who bluntly stated, “No pictures.”
Spotting Lynch outside the establishment shortly thereafter, Lozano made a final attempt to snag a photo with the former Seattle tailback before he called it a night. In video footage from the scene, Lozano can be seen approaching Lynch, clad in a Beastmode sweatshirt, and shouting, “Marshawn! Beastmode! Let me take a –.”
Suddenly, Lynch appears to lunge at Lozano’s phone, and the footage cuts off. Lozano claims that after the camera stopped rolling, Lynch seized his phone, exclaiming, “Y’all mother f***ers are weird,” and proceeded to damage the device with his hands. Eventually, Lozano managed to retrieve the phone just before Lynch departed.

Lozano realized that his relatively new iPhone 14 was broken several minutes later but expresses no intention of involving the police, citing his immense fanhood. While he wishes Lynch hadn’t been so “rude,” Lozano does not plan to escalate the situation further.
This incident isn’t the first time Lynch has faced accusations of swatting fans’ phones; in 2017, he knocked a phone from a man’s hands at LAX. Lynch, absent from the NFL since the 2019 season, has been contributing to Amazon’s “Thursday Night Football” coverage this season.
