The recent loss of the Detroit Lions is not sitting well with their fans.
The disappointment from Saturday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, particularly the controversy surrounding Taylor Decker reporting as eligible on a pivotal play, has left a lasting impact on Detroit Lions supporters. In the aftermath of the game, fans have spared no effort in expressing their dissatisfaction with the officiating. What began with a few local businesses displaying signs has now evolved into a more substantial statement.

Photos shared by Jeanna Trotman of WXYZ in Detroit reveal the presence of several large billboards along Detroit’s I-75 and I-696. One billboard prominently states “Decker Reported,” while another features Detroit’s actual record of “11-5” crossed out, replaced by “12-4.” Notably, a small note at the bottom of the billboard indicates that it was “Paid for by an Anonymous Donor.”
Fans have embraced the billboards as a powerful symbol of the city rallying behind the team. Social media responses reflect the sentiment:
“This is why this is the best city on earth,” one user enthusiastically commented.
“Absolutely the best use of billboards,” another user acknowledged.
“Looks like I’m going for a drive in the morning to find these lol,” humorously quipped a third user.
Wherever the Cowboys and Lions compete, controversy seems to follow. Considering the Lions’ impressive performance this season, fans’ frustration is understandable, as they witness their team having one of its best seasons in decades.
