A national poll has revealed the sentiments of NFL fans toward Taylor Swift. The pop sensation, who began dating Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce earlier this year, has been a frequent attendee at NFL games since September, attracting considerable media attention and television coverage.
Despite some criticisms and unflattering comparisons, a Marist Poll indicates that 70 percent of NFL fans believe Swift has had a positive impact on the league. The poll also highlights that more women (75%) than men (64%) view Swift’s influence positively, and 80% of self-identified Swift fans (“Swifties”) see her as positively influencing the NFL.

A Marist Poll of 1,135 people across the nation found 70% believe Swift has had a positive impact on the NFL. That includes 71% of football fans, the survey said. Just 24% believe Swift’s impact on the NFL is negative, Marist’s study found, while 6% were unsure.
“There’s no ‘bad blood’ between Americans and Taylor Swift. Her favorability rating is at a level that elected officials can only dream of reaching,” Stephanie Calvano, director of data science and technology at the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, said in a news release. “As Time magazine’s person of the year, Swift’s influence on the entertainment industry has been long documented. So, it’s not surprising that she would be just as impactful for the NFL.”
Swift herself has expressed that she is indifferent to how NFL fans perceive her and claims not to be aware of the camera capturing her during games. She emphasizes that her focus is solely on supporting Kelce.
It appears that Taylor Swift’s presence in the NFL is not as disruptive to as many people as one might think.
