According to Luca Evans of the Orange County Register, USC head coach Andy Enfield anticipates that Bronny James will make his college debut for USC on Sunday against Long Beach State. Enfield informed reporters that while James will be under a minutes restriction, he “feels great, looks good” following his first full practice with the team.

The 18-year-old, son of Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, had experienced a cardiac arrest during a workout at USC in July. Despite the setback, the 6-foot-3 guard, ranked as the 20th recruit in the 2023 class by ESPN, is set to join the USC backcourt, which already features five-star freshman Isaiah Collier.
USC currently holds a 5-3 record, having recently suffered a loss to Gonzaga in their previous game.
LeBron James, Bronny’s father, shared earlier in the week that he would skip a Los Angeles Lakers game to attend his son’s USC debut, should they overlap. Fortunately, as the Lakers are not scheduled to play on Sunday, the four-time NBA MVP will be able to be present.
Bronny James, a 4-star recruit rated by 247 Sports, committed to USC in May. The 6’4″ combo guard is highly regarded for his outside shooting and potential as an on-ball defender.
