During the broadcast of the Patriots-Chargers game on Sunday, CBS’ Spero Dedes and Adam Archuleta shared an intriguing tidbit from their pregame discussions with the Patriots’ head coach.
“We’ve had some pretty enjoyable meetings and chats with Bill Belichick. I tell ya one thing we learned about coach the other day, he’s not a streaming guy. You asked him if he watched ‘Thursday Night Football.’ He said, ‘What’s that, that streaming thing? Nah, I don’t do that.'”
Fans weren’t entirely taken aback.
“I’m too busy watching the practice tapes of the opposing teams….”
“Bill’s not alone, it’s a crummy product,” remarked one user.
“Didn’t watch much football yesterday either,” tweeted a fan.
The NFL’s Thursday night broadcasts on Prime Video have yielded mixed results in the first two years.
This week’s matchup showcased Belichick’s Patriots against the 7-5 Steelers.
Belichick continues to appear detached from the contemporary NFL landscape.
